Elite Hockey Program is proud to announce Joe Mortali as its 2017-2018 Bantam Minor Head Coach. Mortali, who was born and raised in Hamden, CT, currently serves as assistant coach with the Elite Bantam Minors under the direction of Peter Alden. Coach Mortali grew up playing in the Hamden Youth Hockey organization. He continued his playing career in Hamden as a varsity member of the Connecticut high school powerhouse, Hamden High School. Upon graduation, Coach Mortali attended Eastern Connecticut State University where he helped to start the hockey program. After playing four years and serving as team captain, Joe then served as Assistant Coach at the college level at Eastern.
"I'm honored and excited to accept the head coaching position for the Elite Bantam Minor hockey team," Mortali said. “Hockey has been one of the biggest positive influences on my life and I truly love the game. I'm looking forward to passing my knowledge onto another generation of players."

We are fortunate to have a coach with the passion and desire to help develop and advance his players. He'll do an great job and I am excited to have him lead at the 2004 level."
